The Twin cities weightlifting championship traditionally organized by the Hyderabad Weightlifting Association on 1-12-2013, since its first edition in 1995 was once again an outstanding success.

The most prominent figure of this year’s Twin cities weightlifting championship was Y.Shiva Kumar who won the 56 kg category competition.

“I wasn’t expecting to break the records” – he said after lifting 217kg.

Lifters from L.B.Stadium, like G.Venkatesh Gold Medallist at the 2013 1st Telangana Inter-District  Championships in the Men’s 62kg and another lifters from LBS Club R.Rahul darshan ,N Janu,Y Rahul,I Promod Vamal, Sampath Kumar, G.Sandeep,C Venkata Ratnam also participated in the competition.

The Men’s 105kg competition ended with the victory of R.Rahul darshan(LBS Club,Hyderabad)with 275kg.
